MICROSUCTION

For many years blocked ears were treated by  GP’s and nurses by syringing ears with water. The use of syringing became unpopular due to the fact that injecting water into the ear with some force was messy, time consuming and had the potential to caused pain, damage to lining of the ear, and at times perforated ear drums. Microsuction is the removal of ear wax, debris or a foreign body using a specially designed O Scope which was developed to enable the user to see into the ear safely. Wax can then be removed without causing any damage to the ear. The suctioning can sound loud to some people but we try to keep the time needed as short as possible.
